The following Sample Itinerary is to show the range of walks we can offer. Every Walk Andalucia holiday booked is tailored individually to your needs.
Day 1 Arrive at Malaga Airport and take hire car to Torrox Pueblo. A representative from Walk Andalucia will meet you in the village. After settling in your accommodation we will arrange a short orientation tour of Torrox Pueblo.
Day 2
Rio de la Miel
14.75Km (9 miles), height gain 1700ft - A walk of about 5 hours up to the head of a river valley uphill via a ridge with great views down to the sea and over the Sierra Nevadas and down through a very fertile agricultural area with vineyards and avocado groves.
Day 3
Loma del Daire
20.75 Km (13 Miles) / 2250 feet / 6-7 hours - Circular walk with good mix of terrain (forest tracks, remote mountain paths, some scrambling over rough paths) & incredible scenery (pine forests, impressive crags and wide open spaces).
Day 4
Atalaya and Buddhist Stupa
Walk of about 9 km (5.6 miles) with a total ascent of 1350 feet. This is an exhilarating climb (including one very steep section) to Atalaya (Moorish lookout tower), with fantastic views across the Sierras de Alhama and Tejeda. You will also visit a rare Buddhist Stupa.
Day 5
Frigiliana & Cruz Pinto
A walk of 6.5k (4 miles), you will walk through a spectacular steep sided gorge and climb to a ridge with great views, and then walk through lovely countryside and thick vegetation in the valley bottom. Climb peak of Cruz Pinto with spectacular views of Nerja & the sea, back along river valley to the picturesque white village of Frigiliana.

Maro & Canyons
10.75k (6.5 miles) - Walk starting at Maro and finishing at Nerja caves which are well worth a visit.
You can enjoy a drink at Nerja caves restaurant which is a training restaurant with a very good reputation, and has stunning views down to the sea and over to Maro.
Cuatro Camino/Acebuchal to Frigiliana
7.5k (4.5 miles) - The walk starts at the crossroads off the Torrox/Frigiliana road and finishes at Frigiliana, a beautiful white village in the hills above Nerja.
The walk climbs steadily with excellent views of the high peaks of the Sierra Almijara in the distance dropping into the river valley through the villages of Acebuchal.
